Joyce Manor - Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired (2012)

Hard to label this. Not punk, not indie, not hardcore but a mixture of all the previous and some ingredients more. I like this one more than the self titled. It's shorter and funnier in my humble opinion. Punknews gave the #1 in the staff's list, I don't really know if that matters so much but just in case you should download it and check it out yourself. Worth it.

Sharks - No Gods (2012)

First I have to admit that Sharks are not the same they were before. This doesn't mean that they suck now or that they keep nothing of their roots, don't get me wrong. They've made some changes in this record, starting with the jump to major, meaning better sound and better production. And that's the first thing I don't like, because I loved how Sharks had a dirty sound but they were elegant and neat at the same time. The thing that stuck them to the punk roots, to that husky strummer voice that James had and now has turned into a bright and clean chant. The guitar riffs are still accurate and colorful and they still know how to build epic choruses, but the compositions have gone to the indie side of indie punk. This is a good record, totally worth downloading and listening to (otherwise, we wouldn't be posting it) but you have to realize that some things have changed, and it's up to you to decide if it's getting better or not. Your call.

Spraynard - Exton Square EP (2012)

Finally it leaked and we were there to get the link and provide you with 4 new songs from our West Chester's favorites. Funtitled was one of the greatest records of 2011 and this EP keeps the feelings that the previous work created. Heartfelt, sincere and unique with a matured Spraynard sound, putting some more distance between the Latterman label that flies over all these kind of bands. Positiveness even in the saddest songs, lots of controlled energy and a bright future for our favorite trio.

01. Can I Borrow a Feeling?
02. You Can't Get There From Here
03. Trembling
04. Intents and Purposes (Three Words)

Caseracer - Caseracer EP (2012)

Fascinating debut EP by this hardcore punk act coming from Delaware and New Jersey. Maybe this last one explains why they have a fresh and marked Lifetime influence. Hectic and intense hardcore punk with a gruff voice and a lot of resemblance with Kid Dynamite, Death Is Not Glamorous or Deny Everything. Loving this so much.

01. Trickle Down
02. I'm Uh Fixing A Divot
03. The Blind Are Courageous
04. Hunter Mountain
05. I Used To Watch Fantasia A Lot
06. Two Yutes

Harker - Loyal Than Most / Lights Off (2011)

I found this thanks to my tumblr page. It is the solo project for Vocalist/Guitarist from UK Punk Rock band Three Summers Strong. Great voice for this kind of genre, with a lot of influence of Chuck Ragan and Frank Turner in the instrumentation and vocals reminding of post-hardcore/emo bands like Jawbreaker (great cover) or The Get Up Kids.

01 – Loyal Than Most
02 – Lights Off
03 – Do You Still Hate Me? (Jawbreaker cover)

Ceremony - Zoo (2012)

Ceremony did it again. It all started brewing with Rohnert Park. Not as hardcore as their previous work and with a lot of new ideas and things to try made that album a great effort to start changing the band's sound without erasing the band's roots and keeping it hardcore punk. So Zoo is some kind of natural follow-up to that change. This time, Ceremony sounds even further from their previous work but nobody can say that they have stepped aside from hardcore punk. There's a lot of influences in this record, and it rides through punk, garage, indie and surf landscapes naturally. It works for me, let's hope it does for you.

01. Hysteria
02. Citizen
03. Repeating the Circle
04. World Blue
05. Quarantine
06. Brace Yourself
07. Adult
08. Hotel
09. Ordinary People
10. Nosebleed
11. Community Service
12. Video

Slight Similarities With: Hard to say... some garage punk, some indie rock, maybe you'll love it if you liked Fucked Up's sound progression.

Raw Inside - Extinct Fire (2012)

I've known this band for something like eight years, it was possibly one of the first spanish punk-rock bands that I really got into, chatting with one of its members online. I got their first demos and releases via Soulseek and bought their first album entitled "Different". Throughout their career they have always kept a personal and unique vibe and a pronounced 90's punk rock sound, coming directly from their deepest influences: The Offspring, Green Day, Rancid and all the punk that was big at that time. 'Extinc Fire' is still the kind of punk rock that they used to play but with some added touches here and there (Soul Of Moon, the closing track, sounds like a heavy ballad attempt made by punk rockers). Definately something that every Smash, Insomniac and Let's Go lover should give a try.

01. After Burning
02. Get Yourself
03. Few Boys
04. Alright, I'll say goodbye
05. Blood on the floor

07. Six years old

09. Extinct Fire
10. Why?
11. Yes, she got it
12. School of liars

14. Soul of moon

Classics Of Love - Self Titled (2012)

Almost ten years have gone since Common Rider broke up in 2003. Since then, we have only seen Jesse Michaels performing solo until he came with the great news of returning to the band format with these Classics Of Love. Some will say that Jesse has been doing the same thing over and over; they couldn't be more wrong. Operation Ivy and Common Rider were unique mixtures of ska and punk, the latter one putting the accent on ska and reggae. Classics Of Love are attached to ska too, but they sound a little bit harder than the first two, this record's got some hardcore hooks and sounds like Jesse is full of energy to keep making great music. We are lucky bastards.

01.What A Shame
02.Castle In The Sky
03.World of the Known
04.Gun Show
05.Stronghold
