Raw Inside - Extinct Fire (2012)

I've known this band for something like eight years, it was possibly one of the first spanish punk-rock bands that I really got into, chatting with one of its members online. I got their first demos and releases via Soulseek and bought their first album entitled "Different". Throughout their career they have always kept a personal and unique vibe and a pronounced 90's punk rock sound, coming directly from their deepest influences: The Offspring, Green Day, Rancid and all the punk that was big at that time. 'Extinc Fire' is still the kind of punk rock that they used to play but with some added touches here and there (Soul Of Moon, the closing track, sounds like a heavy ballad attempt made by punk rockers). Definately something that every Smash, Insomniac and Let's Go lover should give a try.

Classics Of Love - Self Titled (2012)

Almost ten years have gone since Common Rider broke up in 2003. Since then, we have only seen Jesse Michaels performing solo until he came with the great news of returning to the band format with these Classics Of Love. Some will say that Jesse has been doing the same thing over and over; they couldn't be more wrong. Operation Ivy and Common Rider were unique mixtures of ska and punk, the latter one putting the accent on ska and reggae. Classics Of Love are attached to ska too, but they sound a little bit harder than the first two, this record's got some hardcore hooks and sounds like Jesse is full of energy to keep making great music. We are lucky bastards.

Intenta Detenerme - Fastcore Fiesta! (2011)

These guys from Santiago de Chile play really fast old school hardcore with lyrics in spanish. Great riffs, some solos and lots of speed, you really don't need much more to enjoy these south-americans playing like their hands are on fire. Forget moshcore and machocore shit, this is the real hardcore!!

This one is way better than Year Of The Ox, in my humble opinion, so you should check this out.

Who said that spaniards don't know how to make great hardcore punk? From the land that saw one of the most important anarchist movements in history, from the piece of earth that was oppressed by the Franco dictatorship until 1975 and its been ruled by its remains since then. Here you got compromised hardcore with heartfelt and combative lyrics, lots of anger and positiveness, fifty-fifty. Antifascist music with some youth crew spirit and lots of energy. The Menzingers - On The Impossible Past (2012)

We've been missing for a month but now we're back and running and we come with one of the years most expected albums that leaked 4 days ago. A band that has grown into every orgcore appreciator and have matured their sound in so many ways that I can't really explain with simple words. They were huge when they started and they are getting even better as the years and the records pass by. This is their third LP, the follow-up to Chamberlain Waits which was a great leap forwards to the new sound of the Scranton's sons. This time you can hear The Menzingers on their most mature, intimate, deep and heartfelt work. Top of the year 2012 for sure; check the list at the end of the year.

RVIVR - Belebend EP (2011)

I've been searching for this EP since RVIVR announced its release due to their european tour, I had to wait and the only thing I was able to listen was one of the two songs on this record, thanks to somebody who uploaded it to Youtube. Finally it leaked in mp3 format and you can download it. To be honest, it's only two songs and the first one doesn't really stand out, but the second one would perfectly fit into "derailer EP" and it's got huge amounts of energy and a epic melody that only this guys can deliver. One more reason to love Erica Freas' voice.

The Holy Mess - The Holy Mess (2011)

2011 is about to end and we have a lot of great albums left to publish for you guys to enjoy the best stuff that came out this year. That's why The Holy Mess deserved a spot in here since the very beggining. Coming from the great Philadelphia, PA the birth place of a whole bunch of memorable bands, we have this four Pennsylvanian punk rockers delivering some of the most energic, catchy and fast tunes since Flatliners' Cavalcade. Don't misunderstand me, this album doesn't have so much of this mid-tempo punk rock, in fact it is really accelerated ultra-catchy punk-rock, most of the songs go full-throttle (without falling into the kind of fast melodic hardcore box) and will make you click repeat button before it ends. A real breath of fresh air for the ones who need to sing along infectious melodies.
